Nuclear Non-Proliferation, why it is so important and what I have learnt at the NEREC Summer School
2019.10.30 14:04 - AgnieszkaTurlejThe Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) is an international agreement in force since 1970, under which nuclear-weapon member states have undertaken not to sell this technology to countries that do not have it, and thus non-nuclear-weapon states have undertaken not to develop this technology for purposes other than research.
The treaty is divided into three pillars: non-proliferation, disarmament, and the right to peacefully use nuclear technology, which are interlinked by the 11 articles that make up the treaty.
